C-Care Joins Hands with American Health and Safety Institute to Bring Basic Life Skills Training Closer to First Aid Responders in Uganda

C-Care IHK Hospital has attained accreditation from the American Health and Safety Institute to offer first aid training, including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). The accreditation was marked with a ceremony where 30 participants, including boda boda cyclists and house managers, received certificates after completing a comprehensive two-day safety skills program at the hospital in Kampala. Dr. Miriam Mutero Musinga, General Manager of C-Care IHK, emphasized their commitment to enhancing community access to high-quality first aid training. Dr. Peter Kavuma and Mr. Opus Justin praised the initiative and encouraged broader participation in these life-saving skills programs. The training forms part of C-Care Uganda’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts, previously benefiting teachers and Uganda Police officers, with participants expressing gratitude for the invaluable skills acquired.
